2016 Buick Cascada and Avenir Concept

The future isn’t too far off, at least not for Buick and the new direction the affordable luxury automaker is heading in. This week was the Detroit Auto Show, and Buick came prepared to wow its audience with an elegant upcoming model and a ravishing concept. Here at Briggs Auto we are floored to introduce and tell you more about the 2016 Buick Cascada and Avenir concept.

2016 Buick Cascada:

Buick has announced that the 2016 Buick Cascada will be arriving just in time for top-down weather, and why is that? It’s because the Cascada will be available as a soft-top convertible. Next to the VW Eos, it will be the only other convertible on the road that has the ability to retract it’s top while traveling under 31 mph. As for the winter months, drivers still will be able to enjoy luxuries like the heated leather-wrapped steering wheel and heated seats.

2016 buick cascadaThe Cascada is capable of all-weather driving, riding on 20-inch aluminum wheels, the Cascada’s top is acoustic and thermally insulated to always make for an enjoyable ride. This isn’t a speedy little performance car, but is one that makes driving enjoyable without sacrificing safety and technology. The 2016 Cascada is powered by a 1.6L turbo engine that churns out 200 horsepower, and is designed with a sport-lowered chassis to make for a more intuitive and exciting ride.

Avenir Concept:

Sophistication and elegance carries with it the tri-shield emblem as Buick proceeds into the future with its flagship sedan concept. The interior is more than comfortable, it’s soothing and filled with proactive technology that would have been unimaginable not long ago. with a personal 2+2 layout, its cabin is rich and fluid with driver-recognition features that automatically sync infotainment preferences and provides mobile device wireless charging.

The exterior design is unlike any other Buick vehicle within the lineup, yet there still evidently are glimmering traces of traditional Buick style. The Avenir, French for “future”, is based on the 1954 Wildcat concept II, and is sculpted to demonstrate exactly what the future holds for Buick.
